200mm Revelation Dobsonian Reflector Telescope

The 200mm Revelation Dobsonian Telescope is a popular choice of telescope for beginners and experienced stargazers alike. It is easy to set up and use, and is very portable so making it easy to carry around your back garden to get different views of the night sky.

Sporting an 8-Inch (200mm) diameter mirror and a focal length of 1200mm, this telescope produces crisp high-resolution views of the moon, planets, star clusters, nebulae and brighter galaxies dotted around the night sky. 

We supply two high quality eyepieces with the telescope. These are interchangeable lenses allowing you to view celestial objects with a choice of magnifications. Assembled from two parts - the telescope tube, which weighs just under 9kg, and the circular base, which weighs about 12kg - it is relatively easy to lift as two separate pieces.

Tube length is 1.2 metres so fits comfortably across the backseat of most small family cars for transportation. The base is a half metre wide and 0.7m high. The shape of the base makes it relatively easy to place in a car boot or passenger foot well for transportation.

Set up is simple. The tube slots onto the 360-degree rotational base from above. Moulded side bearings on the tube itself rest into semi-circular slots either side on the base. The side bearings can be tightened / loosened by hand to provide different tensions so the tube can be angled in any direction. You’re then ready to stargaze!

The telescope can be collected from our hire base in Toddington, Bedfordshire by appointment, or we can arrange a delivery / collection service to and from your home address. Hire prices and delivery costs are detailed below.
