Dark Sky Telescope Hire run private stargazing experience nights in the Chilterns AONB. We provide 1-hour and 2-hour stargazing experience nights from Ivinghoe Beacon near Tring, Dunstable Downs and Coombe Hill near Wendover. These are private bookable experiences for couples, families and groups with astronomer Seb Jay. Your stargazing evening begins with a laser-guided tour of the stars & constellations that we can see from the Chilterns. We’ll then use one of our large telescopes to go out on a tour across the universe. Along the way Seb will show you star systems, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies beyond our own in the telescope, and will give you the background story to each view. If the moon and / or planets are in the sky on your chosen date then you’ll get to see them through the telescope too.
Our stargazing experience nights in the Chilterns are available all year round. Nights can be run on week nights and weekend nights. Just let us know your preferred dates and we can get back to you with availability. Price for the night is dependent upon the number of people you’d like us to organise the stargazing experience for.
