The Isle of Anglesey in North Wales is a stargazers paradise. The night sky is much darker here than in many other places across the UK. Looking west from the SW coast the Anglesey sky is pitch black on a moonless night right down to the horizon. On a quiet night starlight reflects off the Irish Sea waters, making it difficult to judge where sky and sea meet. To the north, south and east the sky is again very dark, making it the perfect place to explore the heavens.
ENJOY A PRIVATE 2-HOUR STARGAZING EXPERIENCE ON ANGLESEY
Enjoy a night under the stars on Anglesey with astronomer Seb Jay as your guide. Seb Jay has more than 20 years experience in visual astronomy and knows the night sky intimately. He offers private stargazing experiences for couples, families and groups on Anglesey. Stargazing locations include Penmon, Red Wharf Bay, Aberfraw and South Stack. Alternatively, Seb can come to your back garden or holiday accommodation with a telescope to run a private stargazing night for you.
Our Anglesey stargazing nights begin with a laser-guided tour of the stars and constellations that can be seen in the night sky on the evening of the tour. Seb will then use one of his large telescopes to take you on a journey out across the universe through a maze of multiple star systems, star clusters, nebulae and distant galaxies far beyond our own. If the moon and / or planets are visible then Seb will take you to visit these close up also.
If you would like to arrange a private stargazing experience on Anglesey please contact Seb for a quote.
